Press Google Glass APP
Imagine a Press Glass APP with which ordinary people would take a picture, video or even stream a live feed of news to different publishes who can then make sense of hundreds of public data feeds and compile a report of what really happened. It would be people journalism and we would see the truth from the perspective of hundreds of eyes. Kind of scary but I guess in the long run a better discovery of the truth could be possible with a Glass APP for the press.
What people are saying:
#ifihadglass I’m part of The Daily Bruin at UCLA and I’m very interested in innovating how news content is delivered. I would like to create an app that displays geo-tagged articles, allowing Glass users to “see” where stories occur and visually digest content on the spot. Video and pictures
#ifihadglass With CU-Boulder colleagues, I would develop a privacy-configurable group app for sharing content among a team of Glass-wearing journalists covering big news. An editor could see through reporters’ eyes, direct coverage, and feed multiple video/photo/audio. It would revolutionize news coverage of disasters. (Great for first-responder teams, too.)
#ifihadglass As a freelance photo journalist, Google Glass would allow me to instantly share images via my wireless adapter and Android app with several newsgroups within moments of breaking news and events.
